How did Gandhi and Martin Luther King use civil disobedience?

they organised peaceful demonstrations , and non aggressive/ pive resistance to police and troops while doing so , although violence did erupt , more in america as there was so much hatred instilled between black and white ( i use the term of the time ) with virtual apartheid in place in the south , if you really want to see how it was then google selma , alabama . and that was just for the right to attend school with the whites , to eat in the same eateries , to even use the same toilets , oh yes and the right to walk on the boardwalk at the same time as whites . a very sad time for all
