What can happen to my sister...?

my little sister is 14 and on Sunday night she went to bed at 1:00am and she didnt get out of bed all of monday , is she depressed? i think she is and i know why too. she hasnt ate anything though .. if she keeps this up can she end up sick in the hospital? if so what would she be diagnosed with?
