Limewire doesn’t work anymore?

I had Limewire for a while on my computer and it worked perfectly fine. Just recently, when I click on the Limewire icon it doesn’t show the startup screen nor does it load or run anymore. I uninstalled Limewire and then installed it again I get the same problem. What’s wrong with it? I am able to use Ares but not Limewire. I really like Limewire. How do I get Limewire to work again?
